The next AIM squad lunch will be on Thursday, 24th October, from 12 pm to 2 pm at Hauxton House, with masala chai and ice cream on offer as per tradition! The semi-structured part of the lunch will explore the data that is used to cover the work of the venture building community and we shall take an update on some of the related activities happening in the ecosystem.. The unstructured part will be as always somewhat unstructured to allow sharp ideas to bounce around and find their way through to the front of our conversations and consciousness!
In our last meetup, we discussed the importance of board setup and structure for seed-stage companies, emphasizing the need for early formation, complementary skills, and the right fit over big names. By way of background, The AIM squad brings together the movers and shakers in our ecosystem - Accelerators, Incubators, Investors, Infra players, and Mentors, aka the “Venture Builders”. Our discussions are organic and free-flowing, involving an eclectic cross-section of participants. Launching CWOW (Cambridge Wide Open Week) - Save the Date!
In the second CWOD (Cambridge Wide Open Day), over 21 venues covering all the major science and tech parks participated with over 1000+ attendees registered to attend over 177 companies and speakers hosting a diverse array of talks, presentations, masterclasses, pitches, and more! We feel confident enough now to evolve this event into a full-week festival at the home of life sciences, celebrating and showcasing the best of Cambridge in Life Sciences from 9-13 June 2025 and with the main Cambridge Wide Open Day on 11-June-25. Logistics
Please note that access to the venue is via St Edmunds Lane/Mill Lane off the A10, at o2h co-work labs, Hauxton House, Mill SciTech Park, Mill Lane, Hauxton, Cambridge, CB22 5HX. You can find Google Maps directions here. We have parking available for both cars and bikes. Additionally, if you need to take private or urgent calls or meetings, we have space around the incubator that you can use.
